Happy

Must buy this when I have the time , thanks Miss Regina

Gratitude, appreciation, giving thanks.

No matter what words you use, they all mean the same thing.

Happy.

We’re supposed to be happy.

Grateful for friends, family.

Happy just to be alive.

Whether we like it or not.

Maybe we’re not supposed to be happy.

Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy.

Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is.

Appreciating small victories.

Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human.

Maybe we’re thankful for the familiar things we know.

And maybe we’re thankful for the things we’ll never know.

At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

Do you remember ?

Posted in Tessa Yan on February 8th, 2010 by Tessa Yan

At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all we really want is to be close to somebody. So this thing where we all keep our distance and pretend not to care about each other, it’s usually a load of bull. So we pick and choose who we want to remain close to, and once we’ve chosen those people, we tend to stick close by. No matter how much we hurt them. The people that are still with you at the end of the day, those are the ones worth keeping. And sure, sometimes close can be too close. But sometimes, that invasion of personal space, it can be exactly what you need.

I begin to wonder why I came

Posted in Music, Tessa Yan on February 2nd, 2010 by Tessa Yan

Step one, you say, “We need to talk”
He walks, you say, “Sit down, it’s just a talk”
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Because after all, you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
Things you told him all along
Pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

And where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you’ve followed
He will do one of two things:
He will admit to everything
Or he’ll say he’s just not the same
And you’ll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life
